Description: Veterinary Assistants play a vital role in maintaining the health of pets, livestock, and laboratory animals. Veterinary assistants basically assist veterinarians in clinics and research labs. They also keep a close watch on animals in treatment or after surgery and notify the doctor about all changes or problems. Assistants help in preparing for the surgery of an animal and also holding or moving it during the process, diagnose animals, prepare for vaccination, treat distemper and rabies, dress wounds, set fractures, and inform about animal feeding, behavior, and breeding.
